Get Ready!!
The Smith Mansion Preservation Project is gearing up for the
2013 "Dig Out"!!
We are looking for volunteers who are willing to put in a couple of
days of hard work at the Smith Mansion, May 11th & 12th.
This dig out is prep work for the erosion problem around
three sides of the mansion.
Along with that, we will be adding support beams under a staircase.
After making clearance around the structure from this dig out,
a french drain will be added and a retaining wall made from remaining timber.
A concrete walkway will also be added.
We can then get to the walls, replacing
rotten timbers.
Lunch will be provided....(please bring your own drinks)
Bring Warm Cloths!!
Come see the Smith Mansion for yourself and
find out what SMPP is all about.
It's a great way to take part in saving a piece of Wyoming's History.

February 2010-Clean Up
In February of 2010, we held a huge two day clean-up of the mansion and its surrounding property. It was a huge success and it was all completed by volunteers, donations, and a few businesses from the Bighorn Basin. The response from the public has been enormous and very positive.
Paul and I would like to personally thank each
one of you for your volunteer efforts!
Each volunteer played a huge role in this historical weekend.
It was a great start to the Smith Mansion Preservation Project!
