The 2010-Smith Mansion Preservation Clean-up was a huge success and every goal was accomplished. Each volunteer worked their heart out; the amount of work completed was an enormous undertaking. I am sure it was overwhelming to most everyone. I know it was for me.

We were extremely lucky to have great weather, especially during February in Wyoming. We had a light snow, and calm winds for the Wapiti Valley. It made for perfect burning weather.

The interior of the mansion and surrounding property were tackled. There is still some clean-up left; things were missed due to the light snow, but the majority is now gone.

The mansion looks better than I have ever seen it in my lifetime. The ending results are truly amazing.

I want to extend a heart felt thank you to

each and every volunteer who played a

part in this historical weekend.

Not only are we saving a piece

of Wapiti's history, but

we're also saving the West!
